  • 1 avocado, medium ripe
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro, about 1/2 of a bunch (with stems)
  • 1 clove garlic , minced
  • 1/4 cup lime juice, freshly squeezed (about 2 medium limes)
  • 1/2 jalapeño pepper, leave seeds for a spicier flavor seeded
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
