Ingredients.

1. Preheat oven to 350°F/175°C. 2. Prep: Peel half of the apples, quarter all, and remove their cores.

3. Chop apples: Cut apples lengthwise into very thin slices and place them into a large mixing bowl.

4. Chop beets: Cut beets into small cubes, add them and all remaining filling ingredients to the large mixing bowl, and toss until well combined.

5. Scoop the filling mixture into a 9×13 oven-safe pan.

6. Combine: In a large bowl mix all topping ingredients together until thoroughly combined.

7. Spread: Evenly spread topping mixture over filling layer.

8. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until the edges start boiling and the topping is golden brown.

9. Cool: After baking, let sit for 30 – 45 minutes to cool.
